Secondary Investments

Mauro Gambaro is responsible for sourcing activities in Italy, including the identification and evaluation of secondary interests in private equity funds and portfolios of direct interests from investors such as banks, insurance companies and pension funds. He has more than 35 years of experience in the financial sector. After spending 10 years with Banca Morgan Vonwiller he joined Banque Paribas Italy where he served as Deputy General Manager for six years. From 1986, Mr. Gambaro worked in the investment banking and private equity industry as Joint General Manager of Arca Merchant SpA and General Manager of Interbanca SpA, a prominent merchant bank. From 2004 to 2006, he was CEO of F.C.Internazionale Milano SpA, the renowned soccer team. Mr. Gambaro has also served as a non-executive director in many companies, primarily family-owned ones. At present he is a board member of Synergo SGR, a private equity GP, and IMMSI SpA a listed Italian company. He received his diploma as a qualified accountant from Mossotti Institute in Novara, Italy.
